Word for the New Year 5774/2014.
I encourage you to go over what The Lord has spoken to you in the last six weeks and up to Yom Kippur as well. God speaks to us all. Bob Jones taught us this time period is significant for we all pass beneath the Shepherd's Rod for inspection and promotion in it. Therefore it's important to journal all He says (Jer. 30:2) for it is your "Shepherd's Rod/Word for the New Year."
Ayin Dalet 5774/2014:
Year of Humility, Passion, Birthing, Open Doors, & Leaping Forward
By Joni Ames
We have just passed over into the year 5774 on the Jewish calendar. It is a Hebrew Leap Year of 13 months (385 days). The Hebrew calendar has 7 leap years in 19 years. When they have a leap year they add an entire month.
The leap year on the Hebrew calendar is called a “pregnant year." It is considered to be a sign that it will be a year of fulfillment of prophetic events.
When I discovered it was a Leap Year, I was reminded of the game I played as a child – “Father/Mother may I?” – So I said, “Father, may I take a giant leap in this, YOUR Leap year?” And I sensed His reply in the Spirit was, “Yes. Of course. All of my promises are yes and amen.”
I believe it is a "for such a time as this" time - Passionately leaping forward into the suddenlies of God.
Additionally, there are to be four back-to-back blood moons on Passover and Tabernacles in 2014 and 2015. A time to watch and pray for sure, for these have been proven to be ominous signs of war and bloodshed in times past.
Throughout the time of Teshua (time of repentance) prior to Rosh Hashana, and leading up to Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement/the New Year that occurred from sundown Sept 13th to sundown Sept 14th, I had dreams and occurrences that led up to my “Shepherd’s Rod” – Word for the New Year. I will do my best to try to relate some of them to you.
First of all, I want to explain to you that, when God speaks to us, it often is not “complete” until we do some research. In other words, I believe He gives us “words” but they are meant to get us to “hunger” for the “more” in it. More of Him as well as more understanding. So we often need to pay the price of time and deeper study to discover further interpretation and understanding of those words. As we do, it inspires greater passion in us for experiencing more of Him.
We know (or hear/see) in part, so we prophesy in part. It’s up to us to go after the “more.” Therefore I didn’t send these things out right away, but allowed what I was experiencing to “grow” into greater understanding as the Lord led me into further interpretation. As that happened, I spoke about it while ministering on the road. Each time I did, I gave the “more” that the Lord gave to me. This is a compilation of much of that.
Ayin Dalet is the name of this New Year 5774 on the Jewish calendar.
Ayin means eye; to see; to understand, and hopefully thus be more disciplined and obey.
Discipline and obedience on our part is a major key to seeing the promises of God come to pass in this season.
I believe the Lord is “waking us up” to see in a greater way on three levels:
1. In the natural – that which is going on around us.
2. In the spiritual realm.
3. In understanding. As in “Oh! I see!”
To have our eyes fully open is to be awake. This is an ordained by God time of awakening, for sure. The entire 5770’s is such. The ten year span of the ”70’s” is called “Ayin.” Or “To see.” In other words, the further we go into the 5770’s, the further we will walk into a mighty awakening. Our eyes will be opened further and our understanding more enlightened every year.
If we don't submit to God's awakening, I fear we will be subject to a rude awakening.
The word “Ayin” also means “Divine Providence.” This again speaks of walking more into our destiny. As time advances, hopefully so shall we.
There is a dual message in the meanings of the word Ayin: (1) Good towards those who serve The Lord and (2) Judgment on those who do not.
The word Dalet also has dual meaning. The older definition/version is humility; lowliness, and the consciousness of possessing nothing of ones own self.
The bent shape of the older Dalet symbol looks like a needy person who is bowing. The word dalet comes from the word dala. It means to draw out or be impoverished. The root word dalut means poor or impoverished. In other words, humbled.
So it is a year to bow in humility before the Lord, and to admit that, without Him we are nothing. And as we humble ourselves before The Lord, He will lift us up.
“Blessed are the poor (humble) in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matt. 5:3)
The newer definition/meaning of dalet means door, and the symbol is as a tent door.
First of all, let us remember that HE – Jesus – is our door. “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9)
If we remove Christ from the word Christian, we have i-a-n – which equals "I Am Nothing." Let us remember that.
I believe the Lord is saying that, as we humble ourselves before Him and admit that, He will (as it says in Rev. 3:7) open the (natural and spiritual) doors that need to be opened, and close (the natural and spiritual) doors that need to be closed.
In that verse Jesus speaks of Himself holding the Key of David – which is to the Tabernacle of David. It’s a place of prayer, praise, worship, and revelation.
The Tabernacle of David is a revelatory place for today’s Levites – the skilled artisans and even inventors.
In Rev. 4:1, Jesus invites us to “Come up here!” and He will show us things that are yet to come.
When all of Heaven seems quiet, and we need God's help, as we worship Him, heavenly portals – doors – are opened and may be accessed to and from Heaven. We will then find ourself “seated in heavenly places” with Him, receiving the answers we need.
Truly, worship is our WAR-ship. It’s the greatest means of “warfare” that we have as Christians. For as we worship Our Lord, He inhabits our praises. As we speak the name of Jesus, which is above every name, Satan has to flee.
As we worship and are in His presence, there is joy! And we will experience the suddenlies of Joel 2:25 restoration. He will restore to us even the YEARS that the enemy has stolen.
As God restores, He will open up new kairos opportunities – even business opportunities – that will bring forth “double for your trouble!” New beginnings, right relationships, and even “things” that have been stolen from us will be brought forth.
Our job? Obedience and Discipline
Interesting that the word Disciple is part of the word Discipline.
The Lord makes it clear in these times that, as our eyes are further opened, and as we see the error of our ways, we will further understand that there are certain “works” that ARE required of us in order to receive God's promises.
Salvation IS free. But the promises of God usually contain something like “If you do this, I will do this.” Meaning that discipline and obedience is required if we want the "perks!"
One example is in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” - "IF." - There’s a requirement of an obedient response of humility, prayer, seeking God's face, and repentance in order to obtain a healed land.
Financial Discipline = Financial Blessing
And so it is that, even in the days ahead of further and more serious financial collapse, IF we are obedient to do OUR part, and put HIM first, we will be so amply provided for that even the nations will call us blessed!
(10) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it."
(11) "And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
Says the Lord of hosts;
(12) "And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.
As The Lord took me to that set of verses He asked, "Do you see any fine print disclaimer there that says 'This is what I'll do - unless your nation or the world is in a financial collapse?'"
"No Lord," I responded.
"That's right," He said. There are no disclaimers to any of my promises. My Word is true.
So if we are obedient on our end, it opens the windows of heaven to pour out a resulting blessing that there won't be room enough to contain. What an awesome God! Lord, let us be awesome disciples!
What does the 74 in 5774 mean?
74 is the sum of the numerical equivalents of the word Jesus, Joshua, which is the English spelling of the Hebrew word Yoshua which is how Jesus is pronounced in Hebrew.
Amazingly, the total of the sum of the letters that spell messiah is also 74. And so, as you may well notice Jesus is generally depicted with a halo, which makes 74, 7 (halo) 4 or GOD thus Jesus which means salvation or anointed in Hebrew is a hidden mystery which revealed dictates that Jesus was GOD on earth.
Year of BE-Attitudes
Attitude determines altitude
The Beattitudes "be the attitudes" we should possess in this season. i.e., These are the attitudes that should be the fruits of our life:
(3) "Blessed are the poor (humble) in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(4) Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
(5) Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
(6) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
(7) Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
(8) Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
(9) Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
(10) Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(11) "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
(12) Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Regarding the word "meek" in verse 5, don't think that means weak. It requires self control and discipline. I heard a saying long ago that goes like this, "If you think being meek is weak, try being meek for a week." :-)
Year of the Fruits of the Spirit
As we are more "awakened," we need to not only cry out for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but for the fruits of the Holy Spirit to be produced in our lives. They will enhance and quicken our spirit to produce a more Godly and heaven-like heart attitude as we use the gifts our Lord grants to us.
(22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, and self-control. Against such there is no law.
A Year To Pursue Our Destiny
1: something to which a person or thing is destined; fortune
2: a predetermined course of events often held to be an irresistible power or agency
synonyms; fate, lot, portion
What does God say He has destined for us?
(29) For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (30) And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified. (31) What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:29-31)
Our God has GOOD plans for us! (Jeremiah 29:11) - Plans to prosper and not harm us. Plans to give us a hope filled future.
Some more scriptures about our destiny:
You, Lord, are my portion, my cup; you control my destiny. (Psalms 16:5)
Everything the Lord has made has its destiny; and the destiny of the wicked is destruction. (Proverbs 16:4)
Lord, my allotted portion and my cup, you have made my destiny secure. (Psalms 16:5)
My destiny is in your hands; rescue me from my enemies, from the hands of my pursuers. (Psalms 31:16)
We are His children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him. (Romans 8:17)
The Message (MSG)
12-14 So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and places to go!
15-17 This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us—an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!
A Year Of Political intrigue
Sometimes things are not as they seem. There's a great power play going on in the earth today. The games people play are a distraction from what God's purpose for your life is.
There's also a lot of political intrigue going on. Don't be swept into it.
Poli = many
Tics = blood sucking creatures
A Year Of Elaborate Schemes - Elaborate Hoaxes - Exposed
I kept hearing the term "Elaborate scheme - elaborate hoax" so I looked it all up. (See below). These are interesting times. We need to beware of the Elaborate schemes - elaborate hoaxes of the enemy.
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)
1: planned or carried out with great care <took elaborate precautions>
2: marked by complexity, fullness of detail, or ornateness <elaborate plans>
To trick into believing or accepting as genuine something false and often preposterous.
Origin: probably contraction of hocus.
1: sleight of hand
2: nonsense or sham used especially to cloak deception
Origin: probably from hocus pocus, imitation Latin phrase used by jugglers and magicians.
(1) a mathematical or astronomical diagram
(2) a representation of the astrological aspects of the planets at a particular time; a graphic sketch or outline; a concise statement or table : epitome
(3) a plan or program of action; especially a crafty or secret one
(4) a systematic or organized configuration: design <color scheme>
(5) a plan
a scheme to seize control of the government
a scheme to cheat people out of their money
The company has a new scheme
Things are heating up in the earth and a time of suddenlies - both good and bad - is upon us.
Don't be sidetracked by the enemy's devices. Focus on The Lord and stay focused upon Him and His Word.
There are even false flag operations being done by governments and news media.
False flag operations are covert operations designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities. They are often designed by governments to deflect the people's attention off of other things they are doing. It's control and manipulation at a high level.
The Word of God warns us that control (which includes manipulation) is as witchcraft. It rejects God and places self in control.
1 Samuel 15:23 says:
"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.”
Again: Focus. Focus on God and keep your focus on Him. And on your purpose in Him.
A Time To Refrain From Complaining & Murmuring
"Now when the people complained, it displeased the Lord; for the Lord heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the Lord burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp." (Numbers 11:1 NKJV)
Complaining: Expressing dissatisfaction with words or body language. Not seeing things through God's eyes.
Complaining keeps us from hearing from and focusing on God.
Don't let complaining take your focus off your Promised Land - your destiny.
A Year To War/Contend
For Peace And Blessing
"Oh my soul, my soul! I am pained in my very heart! My heart makes a noise in me, that I cannot hold my peace, because you have heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war." (Jer.4:19)
The enemy of our souls is out to kill, steal and destroy, but the Holy Spirit within us wants to use us to properly do battle against the enemy. However, we must remember, "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty THROUGH GOD for pulling down of strongholds." (2 Cor. 10:4)
Again - We war through worship. Worship is our WAR-ship!
A Challenge: Try even five to ten minutes of worship per day. Take a "worship break" when things at work or home seem to close in. You will be amazed at the clarity and peace that settles in as you do.
Remember: He inhabits the praises of His people. Worship brings us into unity/harmony. Where there is unity/harmony, the commanded blessing of God flows.
A Year Of God's Provision
and Angelic Visitation
When I awoke the morning of 8/19/13 and walked my dogs, I believe I had an angelic encounter at the hotel I was staying at in Franklin, Tennessee.
I had loaded my van and was walking my dogs. Suddenly a man in a business suit began to come towards us. At first I thought he was the hotel manager, coming to rebuke me for my dogs barking at him. As he approached, I realized his name tag was not from the hotel.
He began to speak to me about my "cute" dogs, and I noted that he had a Middle Eastern accent. Also that my dogs responded well to him and obeyed when he told them to "go on and go potty for their mommy" (me).
Something about the man made me think, "Is this an angel?" He looked up and smiled, as if he heard that comment.
Then he said, "You wouldn't happen to need a financial planner, would you?"
I thought, "What a dumb question to ask ME! You have to have finances in order to need a financial planner!" (Just sayin'!)
However, I was quickened by The Lord to not word curse myself, so I simply said, "Not today, I guess."
"Have you ever heard of Edward Jones?" he asked.
"Oh yes," I replied.
"Good or bad?" he asked.
"Neither," I replied. "I've just heard of them. I know they are financial planners."
"Well, you never know when you'll need one!" he stated.
We made small talk about the weather and such, and then he said he had to go and called my dogs back over to him to say goodbye. Again, they obeyed.
"Well I'm just out canvassing the neighborhood." He said. "Have a good day." And he began to walk away.
Suddenly he turned back. "Don't forget the name - Edward Jones!" he said, pointing to his gold name tag. "Edward Jones, Edward Jones, Edward Jones. That name will mean something to you."
With that, he headed for a nice looking truck. I watched as he put one hand on the door and saluted back toward my direction with the other.
My dog barked, so I glanced at him for less than a second, but quickly looked back to where the man was. He and the truck were gone. Vanished. Nowhere to be seen. I knew for sure that I'd just experienced an angelic visitation.
I got into my van after he disappeared, and sat there pondering it all.
As I sought The Lord, He said the following to me, but also that it is a word for others and to send it out: "The mission you are on is far greater than your goals or your natural finances. Get your focus on me, not provision or anything else, and I shall bring it to pass."
"It is important that you set and write down the goals, for it is in doing so and following them that your mission will be accomplished."
"With the vision comes the provision at the proper timing."
Then He gave me the verse in Habakkuk 2:2-4, but specifically said to use The Message version: "(2) And then God answered: "Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. (3) This vision - this message - is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming - it can hardly wait to come to you! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time. (4) "Look at the man that's bloated by self-importance - full of himself but soul-empty. But the person in right standing before God through loyal and steady believing is fully alive, really alive."
Then He said, "Don't forget what was said. The name 'Edward Jones' Will mean something for you. It's important to look up its' meaning." So I did.
The meaning of Edward is "wealthy guardian."
Jones is derived from the Latin Johannes, meaning "Yahweh is gracious."
I don't at all think that The Lord was directing me go to the investment company by that name. What I DO believe is that He was saying that HE is my/your wealthy guardian. HE is gracious. And to get our eyes off the world and onto Him as our source.
Many confirming signs followed:
(1) On my way to do a meeting in Harrisonvile, there was an Edward Jones billboard sign. (8/21/13)
(2) He led me into a shopping center to an Edward Jones store in Olathe KS. (8/22/13)
(3) He led me past a very large Edward Jones bldg in St Louis, MO. (9/1/13)
(4) I got "lost" and ended up in front of an Edward Jones store near Wytheville, VA. (9/13/13)
Again, it's not about that company, but the fact that The Lord is our gracious, wealthy guardian. Our Jehovah Jireh. Our Provider. And we needn't fear what's ahead if we are obedient and put our trust in Him.
I believe this year we will experience many angelic encounters. The Word tells us that many entertain angels, yet are unaware that they are doing so.
Come let's go up to the mountain!
On the night of Yom Kippur, I had an all night dream of mountain floods. I was trying to get around, but all the streets were raging streams. I knew I had to get up to the top of the mountain, but was going against the current. It was an up hill, going against the stream battle.
I finally arrived to safety at the top with a group of others. We looked in amazement at the torrential waters raging off of another mountain.
I remember the relief and peace and thankfulness I felt at that moment.
I believe The Lord wants to encourage us at this time to pursue Him. As the storms rage, He says, "Come up here," to safety of the mountain of The Lord, and know He loves and will not forsake us.
Truly battles are beginning to rage all around us. But we must remain faithful, disciplined in our minds, hearts, and actions, and keep our focus upon Him. As we do, we will have that peace that passes all understanding. And we will walk in the power, presence, and provision of The Lord.
Father, we come to You in the name and blood of Jesus. We ask You to help us keep our eyes and hearts focused upon You, and that we would be sure to fulfill the purpose, call, and destiny for which we were born. Thank You for being You. Amen.
